Mr Louis de Waal

Research Assistant

Louis de Waal joined the Stillbirth CRE team in 2024 as a research assistant. He graduated from The University of Queensland (UQ) with a Bachelor of Architectural Design (2015), followed by a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours) in 2021. Prior to joining the Stillbirth CRE, Louis’ primary focus has been sleep science, while contributing to several interdisciplinary projects at the Institute for Social Science Research – UQ, and at the Queensland University of Technology. His focus at the Stillbirth CRE is on understanding the experience of parents who were pregnant or gave birth during the COVID-19 pandemic, as part of the global research study COntinuing care in COVID-19 Outbreak: A global survey of New, expectant and bereaved parent experiences. (COCOON).
