Ms Elahe Nikooharf Salehi

Research Assistant

Elahe is a former member of Iran's national Canoe and Kayak team, where she won a silver medal at the 14th Senior Asian Canoe Sprint Championships in 2011, along with several national medals. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Sport Sciences and is currently pursuing her PhD in Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, The University of Queensland.

Her research focuses on exploring the interplay between screen time, sleep, and physical activity in Australian primary school-aged children. Since joining the Stillbirth Centre of Research Excellence at Mater Research Institute, The University of Queensland in 2022, Elahe has contributed to several projects, including the update of the Care Around Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Clinical Practice Guideline and a global collaboration to explore the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on parent experiences of maternity and bereavement care (COCOON).
