Jiba Pepeny (Star Baby) was developed by Skye Stewart with the support from the Stillbirth CRE and Mater Research, in collaboration with Red Nose. The resource was created to address the need for culturally appropriate bereavement care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families who experience higher burden of stillbirth rates compared with non-Indigenous families. Jiba Pepeny aims to provide culturally supportive and responsive resources for Aboriginal families who have experienced the loss of a baby through stillbirth; and to guide and support families through their grief and healing journey, incorporating Aboriginal ways of knowing, being, and doing.
