Postdoctoral researcher; Co- lead’s the Implementing Stillbirth Prevention Strategies and Consumer Engagement research programs

Dr Christine Andrews is an early career researcher and co-leads the Implementing Stillbirth Prevention Strategies and Consumer Engagement research programs. Christine joined the Stillbirth CRE in 2018 and has a background in in paediatric burn injury prevention, completing her PhD in 2018 through the University of Queensland.

Christine is a perinatal implementation science researcher. Her vision is to achieve substantive improvements in national maternity care standards through actioning effective and targeted evidence-based implementation strategies to embed best practice recommendations into maternity care. Christine is a key driver of the Safer Baby Bundle initiative, leading the national evaluation of its impact. Christine is also an emerging leader for consumer involvement in research and leads a national project to enhance bereaved parents’ involvement in stillbirth research in partnership with the Stillbirth Foundation Australia.

Christine program of work is PRIORITY AREA ONE – Improving care and outcomes for women with risk factors for stillbirth. Specifically:
