Stillbirth CRE and Partner Senate Submissions about Stillbirth in South Australia

The Stillbirth Centre of Research Excellence (Stillbirth CRE), in collaboration with key partners, has contributed to the national conversation on stillbirth prevention through two important submissions to the Senate Inquiry into Stillbirth in South Australia.

  • Submission 1: Prepared by the Bereaved Parent Advocacy Committee, this committee was established to honours babies lost too soon and amplifies the voices of bereaved parents to drive meaningful change in stillbirth prevention.
  • Submission 2: A joint submission from the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Stillbirth, Perinatal Society of Australia and New Zealand, and Stillbirth Foundation Australia, providing expert insights into best practices for stillbirth prevention, community awareness, bereavement care, healthcare professional training, and research priorities.

These submissions address critical areas such as stillbirth prevention education, maternity care models, bereavement support, data collection, and research funding.
