PSANZ Pre-Congress Workshops

We are pleased to invite you to a full day of learning and collaboration hosted by the Stillbirth CRE as part of the PSANZ Pre-Congress on Friday, 14th March 2025. There are two sessions available across the day.

Session 1: IMPROVE Workshop

When: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM (registration from 7:30am)
Where: Mater Hospital, Brisbane

Join the hands-on IMPROVE Workshop (IMproving Perinatal Mortality Review and Outcomes Via Education) to enhance your skills in managing perinatal death. Based on the Stillbirth CRE / PSANZ Care Around Stillbirth and Neonatal Death (CASaND) Clinical Practice Guideline, this interactive training features:

  • Small-group sessions led by experienced educators.
  • Topics such as respectful care, stillbirth investigations, and communicating with bereaved parents.
  • CPD points accredited by ACM and RANZCOG, plus a certificate of attendance.

Session 2: Connecting care for families after perinatal loss

When: 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM (Registration & lunch from 12:30pm)
Where: Rydges South Bank, Brisbane

Costs:
$160 – PSANZ Member (A&B)

Explore new horizons for best practice care after perinatal loss including opportunities and challenges in strengthening care for families.

This session will focus on practical skills for delivering culturally responsive care for Indigenous families and best practice care for early pregnancy loss and perinatal palliative care. Engage in interactive discussions with clinicians, researchers, and parents to develop practical solutions to key challenges including exploring the role of a national perinatal loss care pathway.


Your registration includes catering. Complimentary transport between Mater Mothers’ Hospital and Rydges South Bank will also be available for attendees participating in both workshops.
