Ms Tionie Newth

Research Midwife

Tionie is currently working as a Research Midwife with the Stillbirth CRE.  Her experience in Midwifery has focused on improving care and management of women with complex risk factors in pregnancy working at leading tertiary hospital’s in QLD.  She recently conceptualised and developed a Maternity Hospital in The Home model for women who require more intensive antenatal surveillance, whereby it is safe to carry out care and monitoring at home as an alternative to an inpatient stay. Tionie is interested on improving care for women experiencing complex pregnancies and is interested in research in this area.
