The Stillbirth Centre of Research Excellence (Stillbirth CRE) is coordinating a research study to evaluate a new online program designed to support parents following the death of their baby.
This new online support program called ‘Living with Loss’ has been co-designed and developed by a team of parents and healthcare professionals. The program will provide another support option for parents and focuses on sharing proven evidence-based coping strategies (commonly used by healthcare professionals e.g. psychologists, social workers etc) that may be helpful in understanding and navigating your way through your grief now and over the long-term.
The LWL program features six interactive, easy to use modules, that follow the fictional stories of a group of parents who have experienced the death of their babies.
We now seek to evaluate this new online program in a rigorous research study to determine how helpful and effective the program is for parents who have experienced stillbirth or neonatal death in the last two years. We hope that our research and the Living with Loss online program can help improve support options for parents and families in Australia.
Parents who have experienced stillbirth or the death of a newborn in the past two years are invited to participate in this research study.
